I became a therapist to help reduce the stigma around mental health and to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Often times, I think society wants us to fit into a mold. It can be exhausting and distressing to try and fit into the expectations of the world and others. Especially for children, teens, and young adults, there is pressure from the world, society, and social media to change who you are and be something you are not. We are all different and our differences makes us who we are. I don’t want to change you, I want you to find out what makes you who you are and find ways to support and embrace all parts of yourself!
I enjoy working with youth and adolescents because, as a therapist, I understand that childhood experiences play a vital role in shaping who we are. The clients I work with often feel unheard and unseen and are struggling at school or home. Many feel like they don’t belong and are trying to figure out who they are.
I use a client-centered and trauma-informed approach that is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique journey. I believe that you are the expert, and I am here to walk beside you. I strive to work collaboratively with clients to help them navigate life with greater self-awareness, resilience, and healing. My hope for all of my clients is to build confidence in themselves, embrace their strengths (I like to call them superpowers), and show up as their authentic selves.
In my free time, I enjoy baking something sweet, curling up with a good book, and spending time with my cat.

Hi, I’m Angel!
My Approach
In sessions, balance between supporting clients with structure and following my clients lead. I bring a deeply collaborative approach to my work, trusting in my client as the expert and working together to build tools and supports. I am working towards my play therapy certification and bring play and curiosity into session. As a therapist, I view the client as the expert in their own life, and my role is to work alongside you and enhance your strengths. In the therapy space, I am a laid-back, warm, and flexible. I like sensory items so you may find me using a worry stone or pop it during session, but don’t worry my focus is on you!
My experience
I have five years experience working as a School Counselor for both elementary and middle school students with diverse backgrounds and needs. I have worked with individuals that have IEPS and 504 plans. I assisted in the creation and implementation of 504 plans. In addition to school settings, I have experience working as an Intensive In-Home Clinician and a Residential Counselor with adolescents and teens struggling with eating disorders, high-risk behaviors, and complex emotional and behavioral needs. As an Intensive In-Home Clinician, I worked closely with families to implement strategies to help children and families with behaviors concerns.
