Neurodivergent affirming mental health care for children, teens, and adults in Northern Virginia.

WELCOME

We help neurodivergent children, teens, and adults who are burnt out and tired of living in a world not built for them develop systems of support and create sustainable, joy-filled lives.

We know that being neurodivergent can feel overwhelming, isolating, and frustrating. Many traditional therapy models and support systems just don’t work for the way your brain and body operate. At Kaleidoscope we are constantly unlearning narratives of what traditionally works in therapy and relearning what actually helps clients. We strive to creatively work with each individual client to find tools and modalities that work for them, their brain, and their body. All of our therapists are trained in alternative modalities such as art and play therapy and we think outside the box when it comes to finding things that help our clients make progress and live life to the fullest. Our therapists aren’t blank slates and don’t have all the answers. We want our space and practice to feel accessible, transformative, and empowering.

Community

We look beyond just therapy to develop systems that increase client’s wellbeing and joy.

We practice from a neurodivergent affirming, trauma-informed, social justice lens. We value creativity and curiosity, autonomy, care and compassion, and integrity, and virtue. We believe that each person is the expert on themselves and we never ask a client to change who they are. We believe in disrupting the systems that exist that do not serve all people and that everyone deserves access to care.
